World Cup with no electricity

With no electricity in Alebtong, a generator is used every night to power a tv to watch the World Cup. This was the Japan vs Denmark game, the first generator didn’t work, so a second one was brought in, which took about 45 minutes to fix. We got to see the last 14 minutes of the first half and then the rain came in and knocked out the signal.

Bouncing Cats trailer

I want to share this trailer about my great friend here in Uganda, Abramz, who started Breakdance Project Uganda (B.P.U.). This is a documentary that was filmed over the past 2 years about hip-hop, breakdancing, and what he and the group are doing to make positive change here in Uganda. Bouncing Cats.

From the Field

The internet here in Uganda is slow. Really really slow. It's a lot harder and time consuming for me to keep this blog updated as frequently as I had hoped, so I started a blog that I can updated from my cell phone here in Uganda called From the Field. By no means is the end of this blog, and I will continue to update it as often as I can. But please check out From the Field as well!
