Ellicott City in two nights.

M Green was house sitting a friends house in Ellicott City for a few days. The house was great, old, big porch, and was right across the street from a river/creek. I posted up there two nights last week and drank good wine/beer, ate great food, and had a great time with friends. And it was only 15 minutes from my house in Baltimore!

this week

Two pictures from this week...I've been home sick all week. The first was taken in my car in the parking lot of my last assignment on Monday evening. The second image is Joel rolling into Becky Byrd's pool here in the city with Bert watching on last night. Had I felt better I would have joined. Damn you illness!

Preparing for the Appalachian Trail

Mike Marks and his girlfriend Lisa are currently hiking the Appalachian Trail (as of this morning, somewhere in NC just outside the Great Smoky Mountain National Park). Starting at the head of the trail in Georgia and walking to some point in Pennsylvania, at which point they will figure out if they want to go all the way or not. Lisa is keeping a blog that she will update from time to time, well town to town is more like it. You can check it out here! And you can literally follow them here via GPS's in their bags which they check in with once a day.

I spent their last night in Derwood with them before they drove to Georgia and I made some photos and some video. Lisa went to sleep before most of this happened, so here is Mike preparing for his journey. Oh, and now you can watch these video's here on the blog in HD! No more going to Vimeo for that!
