World Cup with no electricity

With no electricity in Alebtong, a generator is used every night to power a tv to watch the World Cup. This was the Japan vs Denmark game, the first generator didn’t work, so a second one was brought in, which took about 45 minutes to fix. We got to see the last 14 minutes of the first half and then the rain came in and knocked out the signal.

The internet here in Uganda is slow. Really really slow. It's a lot harder and time consuming for me to keep this blog updated as frequently as I had hoped, so I started a blog that I can updated from my cell phone here in Uganda called From the Field.
